BRC is proud to offer to the New England running community the Optogait system, a gait tracking system utilized in all three US Olympic Training Centers, the Nike Oregon Project, as well as other industry-leading sports medicine facilities. This unique device utilizes photoelectric sensors to accurately dedect specific parameters of the gait cycle, power and elasticity, and neuromuscular coordination.
Optogait provides BRC coaches and specialists more specific measurments in which to deduce the effect of postural distortions on the gait cycle, as well as a clear and concrete way in which to mark progress in a corrective actions program. Real-time parameters can also be displayed while the athlete is in motion, thus providing immediate feedback from which to form precise anscillary exercises and possible form adjustments.
